CJSC Public Television Company of Armenia and Public Radio Company of Armenia are members of the European Broadcasting Union.: The European Broadcasting Union is one of the structures uniting the largest and most influential organizations providing public media services in the world. It was founded in 1950 and currently has 115 full member organizations from 57 countries, as well as 33 associate members. Among the full members of the union are well-known global public broadcasters such as BBC (UK), ARD and ZDF (Germany), France Télévisions (France), RAI (Italy), RTVE (Spain) and others. The main mission of the Union is to protect and develop the values of public media by supporting independent, pluralistic, reliable and high-quality journalism. It provides its members with news sharing platforms, technical support, legal and strategic advice, professional training, and supports the introduction of innovative technologies and the development of the media sector. The EBU also organizes and coordinates many projects of international importance. The most popular initiative is the Eurovision Song Contest. The EBU has also implemented and is launching a system for sharing major sporting events, cultural programs, and international news. In today's media environment, the EBU plays an important role in protecting the interests of public broadcasters, promoting digital transformation, and strengthening media freedom and editorial independence. Through his activities, he contributes to the sustainable development of public media and the expansion of international cooperation.
